For years, I pushed myself to the max. I needed to be ‘the best’ at all the things I did…

  • The greatest at sticking to my food regimen.
  • The greatest at hitting PRs within the health club.
  • The greatest at seeing scale progress.

And all of it was so tense!

I by no means felt like I used to be adequate and it seems, the one factor I used to be ‘the best’ at, was draining my power, trashing my hormones, feeling depressing, and growing dangerous habits disguised as self-discipline.

I lastly had sufficient and made the choice to make a change.

I made a decision to decrease my expectations of being ‘the best’ and as a substitute give attention to being kinder to my physique. I do know it sounds a bit tacky, however giving myself some grace (and relaxation!) when it got here to my exercise routine made all of the distinction.
