I initially submitted my story in October 2021. It took me some time to answer your further questions. During that point, quite a bit has occurred…from despair to excessive anxiousness to household points to switching colleges and going again to teaching after two years…quite a bit!
However, there’s one factor I can say: I by no means gave up on my journey to a wholesome life-style.
What was your motivation?
My motivation is thrashing the statistics that black girls typically take care of, similar to hypertension, excessive ldl cholesterol, weight problems, and different well being points.
How did you alter your consuming habits?
I reduce out bread, pasta, pork, canned/processed meals, and sodas. I additionally restricted my consumption of sugar and crimson meat. Instead, I eat principally rooster and fish, and I like uncooked greens. Also, I do Keto on occasion once I want a lift.
Tell us about your exercise routine.
I work out 5-6 days every week. I do cardio for the primary hour (operating, biking, and elliptical). Then I do weights coaching for the second hour. I work out doing two-a-days as soon as every week, each different month.
What was your beginning weight? What is your present weight?
My beginning weight was 276 kilos. My present weight is 189 kilos.

When did your journey start?
I began my journey in May 2020 throughout C*vid. So my transformation took two years!
Is weight reduction surgical procedure a part of your story?
No surgical procedure. However, I wish to get these breasts to return again to life!!
What is the largest lesson you’ve discovered thus far?
The largest lesson I discovered was “Be comfortable with being uncomfortable!” It wasn’t till I received bored with making excuses and never liking what I noticed that I made a decision to make this journey a lifelong one!
What recommendation would you prefer to share with girls who wish to shed extra pounds?
The recommendation I recommend is to set small targets first!! Journal your progress. Also, be constant and applaud your self!! Be your largest cheerleader!
